Celtic took the lead in this very entertaining League match in the 22nd minute, when Tom Daly ran onto a superb ball over the Glenmuir back four to lob the keeper.  Shortly after Tiernan Moran with a deft overhead kick in a crowded box put the home side 2-0 ahead.

The Glems had several good chances to get back on terms but squandered them before Paddy O’Connell headed home from a corner kick to extend the home sides lead further, which they took into the break.Minutes into the second half a Ryan McDonald free kick was fumbled by the Glems keeper and in trying to regain possession only managed to push the ball into the roof of the net, to leave Redeemer cruising at 4-0.

A couple of substitutions by the visitors brought instant reward where Paddy Nicholson found the left hand corner of Chad Bromleys net.  Five minutes later Nicholson was played one and one with the keeper and he made no mistake to reduce the deficit to 2 goals.  The Glems made it 4-3 when Victor scored with 15 mins remaining. 

A rattled home side were steadied when Ryan McDonald fired to the net to make it 5-3, a cushion they preserved to the end of a thrilling 2nd half.Players to stand out were Ryan McDonald and Thomas Daly of Redeemer and Paddy Nicholson of Glenmuir.  Redeemer Celtic are to be complimented for the excellent condition of Noel Gorman playing surface.
