Redeemer Celtic beat Muirhevna Mor FC 4 – 0 in the DDL Clancy Cup quarter-finals.

Paddy O’Connell broke the deadlock in this cup tie after 10 minutes of play, rifling to the roof of the net from close range to put Redeemer ahead. Both sides saw the woodwork denying them scores as the game swung from end to end, with both keepers having excellent games, it was an unfortunate O.G. from the home sides Martin Malone which gave the visitors a 2-0 lead in the 46th minute.

The second half was dominated by Redeemer but it took until the 85th minute before Thomas Daley stretched the Gorman Park sides lead with his 4th strike of the season. In the 90th minute Ryan McDonald sealed this comprehensive victor for the Trimble’s side with his 4th goal of the campaign. Outstanding for the winners were goalkeeper per Cian Bromley, Paddy O’Connell and Kevin McCormack, while custodian David Egan, Paddy McShane and Martin Malone tried valiantly to stem the Redeemer attacks. Ryan McDonalds goal, a screamer from 30 yards, will vie for goal of the season!.
